We may keep and use personal information we collect from you through 5 Star Services to provide you with access to 5 Star Services. In addition, we may keep and use your personal information:

    to personalize your access to 5 Star Services;

Due to the nature of the services provided it may not be possible to remove certain identifiers which include name and email address, but otherwise it may be possible to remove other personal identifiers but this will be subject to the ability of 5 Star to provide the 5 Star Services without causing system disruption to you or any other users. When possible, you would no longer be identified as a single unique individual. Once we have de-identified information, it is non-personal information and we may treat it like other non-personal information.

Do We ever share personal information with third parties?

By using 5 Star Services, you agree to permit 5 Star to identify you as a customer and to use your name and/or logo in 5 Star’s website and marketing materials.

If we decide to make a significant change to our Privacy Policy, we will include a notice with the 5 Star Services and also will post a notice on the homepage of our website for a period of time after the change is made. Significant changes are also described below.

Why do we use cookies?

Cookies are actually a very useful technology to provide and customize services, and to enable features within the product. Additionally, cookies allow Us to understand when a user has and has not been properly authenticated leading to be more secure environment for all users. We also use cookies for the production of analytics.

What types of cookies do We use?

We use both session cookies and persistent cookies.  “Session cookies” are temporary cookies that last only as long as your time in the application on a given session and they are automatically removed when you logout or close your browser.   “Persistent cookies” last much longer and help us to remember you, your device, your settings and preferences and other details about you.

What cookies do you store on my computer?

We store a series of cookies from our own products as well as 3rd party vendors and technology partners in order to provide you the 5 Star Services service.  Due to our development approach of continuous integration, the list we use is regularly changing and being update. Please contact us if you’d like to know the current list of cookies.  Most modern browsers also provide tools to examine and explore cookies in use and stored.

Can I delete stored cookies?

Absolutely, you can manage and delete cookies from all websites you visit from within your browser.  Keep in mind that this doesn’t prevent us from storing cookies on your machine upon your next login.  Even if you decline to be tracked – and this is true for any website – a small cookie must be placed on your machine telling the site to no longer track more cookies.  If you’ve declined tracking in the past and manually clear your cookies, those sites will no longer remember your preference.

Can I decline to have 5 Star Services cookies tracked?

No. The cookies we use are essential to delivering our products and services.

Does 5 Star Services adhere to GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) laws are applicable to companies which market to citizens of the European Union (EU).  At this time, 5 Star Services does not market to citizens of the EU, nor is 5 Star Services being used in the EU.  Therefore, 5 Star Services is not subject to GDPR. If you are a customer that operates outside the United States or in a region subject to GDPR, or other data privacy regulations, please contact us BEFORE deployment and use of the 5 Star Services application to make sure all applicable laws, rules and regulations are in full compliance.

Does 5 Star Services comply with COPPA or similar laws or regulations?

5 Star Services understands that minors (under 18) are deserving of special consideration to avoid potential abuse, however, due to the nature of the service provided by 5 Star Services, we are not subject to the minor-focused online protection provisions, such as COPPA, California’s Privacy Rights for California Minors, Delaware’s Online and Personal Privacy Protection Rule, and others, as our service is not meant in any way as a marketing tool to minors, or others.  It is not meant as a sales tool and the data collected through its use is not used for marketing purposes by 5 Star Services, nor it is sold, transferred, or otherwise provided to any third parties for marketing purposes.  Furthermore, we will not allow 5 Star Services to be used in conjunction with minors unless the proper consents have been given by their parent, guardian, custodian, trustee or legal caretaker.
